Drano nailed it.
As for the apron, two screws at the back by the PF hangers and the other side has two tabs that slide under retainers screwed to the PF. Basically have to slide the apron froward towards the flippers. The only one I know of off the top of my head that is screwed all the way...
I think it looks great but I don't really care if Baldwin's mug is starting at me while playing mine so I opted out. I can use the scratch I just saved towards funding my JJP WoZ 75th. :FP:
D
I cannot see enough demand for the 75th where he's already sold 1Kpcs of the LE, but these are nutso times in the pin world so wtf knows... I think the whole thing of different versions and whatnot is just getting silly. (don't even get me started on pricing)
D
Yes and no... Most of everything you'll need to test will be under the PF, so no going back and forth between the PF and the head. Also means less wire to trace if there is a break.
Correct. It would have to be a completely new set of schematics. (especially where they have switched to...
There is no way you could mount the coils directly to a PCB, the vibration generated by the plunger slamming into the coil stops would fracture the solder joints in no time. As for coil voltage through the PCB, this is already being done on your driver boards. 8-)

It definitely appears the coil and lamp drives are smaller modular PCB's from these pics. (I count 3) I agree having all of the electronics under the PF is a risk, but where it looks like these are mounted component side down, protecting the backside of these PCB's would be simple with plastic...
It adds up quick. I almost bought a house (a builder model home) that had over $250K in upgrades... (finished basement being a big chunk of that value)

I've had a chance to play WoZ a couple of times now, and I too have been impressed. To the point I was contemplating jumping on the Hobbit for a second... Then I slapped myself silly once I realized I was actually thinking of spending $8k on a pinball machine.
D
Unless you've got deep pockets or doing a complete restoration / pimp session it is expensive. On the other hand, if you have a game that needs a replacement DMD it's not that much extra given the cost on DMD's or LED alternatives are not much less these days.
Just something to think about.

Seriously good thing you were there when Pinbot went into meltdown! Stupid design flaw with unfused bridges.
I had Ancientgames stop by my place last night with a case of Mill St. Organic and a DCS sound board that had a bad cabinet speaker output. These boards are prone to failing TDA2003...
