    WPC flipper question

Nope, if the EOS wasn't engaging the hold coil the flipper would shotgun. D

bride of pinbot flipper problem: please help

The component on the switch is actually a capacitor, not a transistor and it present to help the MPU detect quick switch closures. D

FS "Not Mine" Pinball Machines For Sale

Spoke with the seller last night and we reached a deal (thanks Wong for the tip!), I am scheduled to pick this up from him when he returns from out of town later this week. Even though the seller contacted me to let me know other people were trying to snake my deal by offering more $$... effing...

    WPC flipper question

Games used to come with a flipper gap gauge, but usually these are long gone. Good rule of thumb is the gap should be two business cards thick. Too little gap and it drags, too big a gap and it tends to bind but it usually doesn't happen until you've been playing for a while. I'm thinking the...

bride of pinbot flipper problem: please help

The cap on the flipper is just used as a spark arrest, it wouldn't have any affect on this problem. The only other thing I can think of is mechanical binding. Make sure the flipper bat to bushing gap is set correctly. Too much or too little can wreak havoc on flipper power. D

    REVIEW: Pinball Ninja Webzine

The TOP DVD's are a must. His old repair guides were (and still are) the best available if you were lucky enough to grab a copy. I haven't really looked at the ninja site too much, but I agree Clay does a great job at it and has helped everyone in this hobby one way or another. D

    Looking for Judge Dredd topper

IPB in the past has always held their own show just down the street from the Westin due to "bad blood" between Gene and Rob / Mike. (although I do recall something about them working things out so IPB might be at Expo now??) D

The Pinball Diaries (what did you do today?)

Its funny you mention the Stern flipper feel and your opinion of them being "tighter" and "not as clunky". Most of the seasoned collectors say the exact opposite, that the new Stern flippers feel cheap and wimpy compared to other Mfg's. :) D

The Pinball Diaries (what did you do today?)

Not a bad idea, but quick tip... while you're in there make sure the coil plungers are not mushroomed (and check the coil stops as well). If the plunger is mushroomed it will only chew up the new sleeve, and you'll be no further ahead. D
