This is always an easy one for me becuase The Addams Family will always be my favorite... mostly for nostalgic reasons and also for the great theme and how it was executed. I think it also represents a watershed moment in theme integration, pinball design and programming. Not to mention it's...
Oh yeah... I missed that.
I played this in Allentown a couple of years back alongside a Heat Wave. Both games struck me as being really fun and I searched out both immediately afterwards. Williams wasn't known for their pinball machines going into the 60's (mostly a reputation for baseball and...
Apollo is a fun little game. I love these 60s Williams reverse wedges.
That game wins the award for best cabinet. I thought my Rocketship with purple paint and vinyl decals was weird.
It's pretty sad really. If they embraced the local collector community... perhaps even stepping up to host events and ditching these online auctions in favour of going back to their original format, they would be doing a great service to the hobby... which in turn benefits the entire coin op...
Describe the problem.
Is the entire row just not registering at all or are you getting false readings?
Have you confirmed the connector and header pin for that row are making good contact? Looks like it's 1J10-8
I think everyone is forgetting that SB probably does not see the individual hobbyist (the guy who wants to swing by on Saturday) as their client.
They are an operator... the largest in Canada and also the only distributor for other operators and re-sellers. It's a monopoly and they know it. I...
Wow! That's a big statement. I hope his name starts with a C, ends with and S and has a HRIS HUTCHIN in between :D
But, that would explain the price. I remember HEP's videos from a few years back where he showed how he had to do a ton of correction to all the IPB MM playfields that came into...
Okay... I'll bite. I know I shouldn't ask so I apologize in advance; but my curiosity is getting the better of me.
Is there something special about this particular MM playfield? Your listing is light on details. Might help it sell faster if you told people more about it. Several types of MM...
I might do something fun with this one... not exactly sure what just yet. All the playfield art is really heavily inspired by the film Metropolis and I'm a big fan. The rest of the game art is a huge disconnect.
The concept of building the robot is great and the music really makes the game...
I don't like that much purple in the game. I'm okay with a much more blue and white colour scheme with just a few hints of purple... so I'm good with the clear ramps.
Once the coloured LED lighting is turned on the whole playfield comes to life and the clear ramps look great.
That being said...
Who doesn't love 'little people'?
Finally found a nice Genesis. Actually, this was the very machine that hooked me.
Always loved the Metropolis theme, but playing this at another member's home really sealed the deal.
Simple, fun and kick-ass music and sounds.
What more do you need?
Just...
Looks great Rob!
One more pin back in action. That's a great feeling.
PS
I'm always happy to knock down the clearcoat to a matte finish if you prefer.
Not hard to do. Just let me know next time.
I personally like them glossy though.
I mainly need this for FH and TAF, but if it'll help with my other games too, I can take more. I don't notice as much noise on FT, IJ and other WPC games I have though
Yup.. I learned my lesson. Stocked up on this order :D
Picked up 4 sheets today.
Good thing it took so long... didn't hurt as much spread out like that.
Thanks Brock. I know what a hassle this was.
