IMO, that's some ugly artwork... she gonna rip that dress off in the video clips while you play?

Totally agree, might change after playing but I can't see a lot of time spent on software after the or if the 500 sell. I think the price is gonna fall fast on this one, it's no Big Lebowski.

I love the art style/ package. The callouts are atrocious. Some music is good, some lame. Need to hear the sound fx to liven it up. The theme does nothing for me, but I'm cautiously optimistic.

Sculpts are wicked. Upper playfield is cool. I like the art style. Layout looks a little basic. Can't wait to try it at expo.

The art looks fine, but haven't we done the whole dark/adult Alice in Wonderland to death? I suppose it's a dark book at its core, but this is verging into something you'd expect to see as the porn parody. The playfield still looks a lot like the JPop design from what I remember. Maybe the game will actually work this time? The amount of detail in the sculpts is cool, and having the 3d sculpts on the plastics could be neat. The video didn't look great though, and I doubt that the software is going to stand up to a Stern or JJP game. The idea of the player controlled discs in the outlanes is interesting I suppose, and I would still like to try one out, but it's not something I see buying.

My wife summed it up when we watched the trailer yesterday.

- Alice is supposed to be a little girl, not a half naked woman with huge jugs.

I think DPx team is living in the past. Sure in the 60s and 70s it was all about unnaturally large breasts on pinball art. We've moved on (I think) from that. If you need porn to play by yourself you have the internet.

The trailer is fairly limited but so far I find this game tacky and uninspired. Obviously designed by some old white dude who is clinging to the past.

I didn't find the "eat me" and "plunge me" to be particularly coy on the front of the game either. not my taste, as you say, feels better left in the past.

Absolutely no one that buys pins would be interested in a "little girl/ Disney" version of Alice.
Sex sells. It always has, it always will.
Not what I meant. It could have been dark and creepy without being overly sexualized. It's lazy art design TBH. "Oh just get boobs in there and some will buy it". Give me substance instead of lazy artwork. I'd even venture to say that the average joe that gets off looking at pictures of large breasted sci-fi women on pinball machines usually can't afford 15000$ toys. I get why some locations would want it in their lineup though. location/context is everything.

I agree. Sex may sell on something that was always that way, like Elvira... but this seems really out of place.

A little bit yes... doesn't bother me but not super family friendly game IMO.

If I want a Jpop game though I will buy a Cirqus Voltaire.

Art lacks cohesiveness. And has a "Walmart airbrushed T-shirt art" look to it.
I couldnt really pin my finger on it - its just not well done, IMO. I dont think the idea is bad, but the execution certainly looks that way to me. ETA: Looking again, I know why it drives me nuts - the characters look like they were stolen from a free to play iphone game.

I hear what you guys are saying, but those free to play iphone games, anime, sexy cosplay and erotic video games on Steam, make more in a day than the pinball industry has made in the last 10 years.
Go to any anime, game, comic, video game convention and 90% of the female costumes that the female attendees are wearing are extremely sexualized.
The times have changed.
I think you guys are a little living in the past/ out of touch...

Excellent point. Maybe some "men" here are getting too sensitive. Sex sells and society getting way too uptight about the beauty of a woman's body. The artwork is beautiful.
At least they are trying something different rather than playing it safe like good old Stern.

I agree that the video could be better, much better for a newly launched pin. The mature artwork isn't that bad...even my wife thought it wasn't offensive, even cool. It intrigues me, I would definitly like to try it. Very different from any recently released pin.

Similar to a Grim Fairy Tale, Alice in Wonderland by Greg Horn
