Machine 10 & 11: NBA Fastbreak (Linked)
NBA Fastbreak is a 1997 pinball machine released by Williams Electronics Games (under the Bally brand name).
The scoring is like the real NBA, meaning that 300 points is a terrific score. The scoring is balanced, and completely linear. It is the only WPC machine that does not feature an after ball bonus count. The objective of NBA Fastbreak is to get to Trophy Multiball by completing six tasks, win a championship ring, and score as many points as possible along the way. The six tasks are:
Goals (2PT, 3PT & Free Throw)
20 points
Combos (Tip-Off, Slam Dunk, Alley Oop & Fastbreak)
Stadium Goodies (Crazy Bob's Concessions, Hot-Dog Mania, Scoreboard Trivia & Egyptian Soda)
Multiballs (Shoot Around Multiball & Around The World Multiball)
Power Hoops and Power Points (Half Court Hoops, Hook Shot Hoops, Run & Shoot Hoops & Hoops Multiball)
When all the tasks are completed, Trophy Multiball automatically starts (if the player loses the ball before it starts, it will start on the next ball). The player then has unlimited balls for about 20 seconds. The center ramp is lit for 2 points and the goal is to outscore the "other team" (it seems that 6 or 7 shots are necessary to do this). If the player wins, a championship ring is awarded and the player becomes the current MVP.
However...
What truly sets NBA Fastbreak apart from any other pinball machine is that it is the ONLY pinball machine to EVER play linked. Players can compete against each other in real time on 2 separate linked machines in a timed game of basket-pinball. It's a total blast!
As far as we know, this will be the only publicly playable linked NBA Fastbreak in Canada!

FYI. Fastbreak may very well be the FIRST pinball to play linked but is definitely not the ONLY linked game. P3 has a few games that are played head-to-head on linked machines. There is even a game that you can play against others online (cart racing)on the P3.

James Cameron’s Avatar Pinball by Stern Pinball, transports players to the planet of Pandora on a quest to protect the Na’vi people from an invading mining colony. Staying true to the innovative nature of the film, James Cameron’s Avatar Pinball features a 3-D backglass with incredible depth, clarity and color, speech and sound effects from the movie, and an original voiceover by Stephen Lang, who plays Colonel Miles Quaritch.
In James Cameron’s Avatar Pinball, you are Jake Sully. Capture the pinball in the transporter link that reveals a Jake Sully figurine, thus transforming yourself into his Avatar. As his Avatar, you will have to escape the Thanator, fight the Viper Wolves, and ride the great Leonoptyrix. Travel through the Hallelujah mountains and do battle with the RDA in the bumpers and face Colonel Miles Quaritch in his mechanical AMP Suit. Machine 14: Ghost Squad Evolution
A CLASSIC REBOOTED!
Ghost Squad Evolution is the arcade follow-up to the original Ghost Squad. It was developed and published by Sega and released in 2007.
In Ghost Squad: Evolution the player is a member of Alpha Unit, or members of the “Ghost Squad”, an unofficial unit of the anti-terrorist group, Multi-Operation-Program (M.O.P.). Non-playable characters include fellow M.O.P. members consisting of the Commander, who provides radio backup and pertinent advice to the player, along with the Bravo and Charlie Units who assist the player in suppressing the terrorist threat.
The submachine gun can be set from single shot, to 3 burst shot to automatic fire as well as special effects to suit the situation such as Night Vision, Flash Light for the mounted gun, and Scope for the sniper rifle. The gun also features an action button which is used to pull off special moves like hand-to-hand combat, as well as recoil effects on every shot fired.
Each mission contains multiple routes for the player to choose. Special events occur throughout the game depending on the route chosen, such as securing hostages, bomb removal, or providing friendly cover fire. The game is broken into 3 missions with 16 total difficulty levels. All 16 can be selected from the beginning. There are 14 costumes available for character customization, however, the costumes have no effect on gameplay. There are 25 different weapons.

Ever wanted to be insulted by a pinball game? Well, you are in luck as the game has two modes: Adult and Family Mode. We will have it set to Adult mode so you can experience the full expletive experience!
Rick and Morty is a P3-ROC-driven three-flippered game – two flippers in the usual place at the bottom and a third half-way up on the right-hand side. The upper flipper is positioned at a transition in the playfield’s artwork from planetary purples and yellows to the black of outer space.
It contains two ramps which both feed to the right side of the game. The left ramp send the ball to the upper flipper, while the right ramp feeds it into the inlane on the same side.
The horseshoe lane with the addition of illuminated, frosted drop targets at either end and an up-post at the back to create the Danesi Lock 2.0 – a development of the inline drop target locks used in Scott Danesi's earlier design, Total Nuclear Annihilation.
This game has a very unique layout with strange and difficult shots and can me mercilessly fast in the lower playfield!

I still feel bad that I never made it out to Meeplemart. Going to try and get out to this one as soon as I can, it looks super promising with this lineup!
If you have any interest in rhythm games there is a very thirsty rhythm game community in Ontario that is dying for places to play. It's a younger crowd but they are dedicated if you get the right games.
There's a private space where some people keep their rhythm game collection and they had an event recently that had over 100 in attendance. I think it shows there is demand for those games if you have the right ones.

I was going to bring one in, but I'm not sure if I have the right space for it as I would want to present it somewhat isolated from the rest of the machines. That way, I could have it cranked (like it should be!) and it wouldn't disturb surrounding machines/ players. I will reach out to you in the future for input, if I decide to go ahead with one.

The issue I've seen at the other arcades of this type that have games like DDR is that they put them right on the floor where everything else is and it ends up annoying the other guests and annoys the players of the rhythm game since there is always competition for volume.I was going to bring one in, but I'm not sure if I have the right space for it as I would want to present it somewhat isolated from the rest of the machines. Also these games attract "hardcore" players who come just to play them and other people think they are hogging the machine because they don't understand how each turn works. Giving these games their own space cuts back on all of those problems significantly.

Insider Connected is a comprehensive technology initiative to connect the universe of Stern pinball machines. The platform was designed to enhance and extend player engagement with games across both home and commercial environments.
Registration for Insider Connected is free; players can either scan a QR code at the games or go to the Stern Pinball website where they will need to enter an email address and create a password. Once players register for Insider Connected, they are issued a unique QR Code that can be used to identify that player at any connected Stern pinball machine, anywhere in the world. When a player logs into the machine, they can track their progress, earn new game specific achievements, engage with the player community and participate in promotions and Challenge Quests.
When players complete quests, they receive loyalty rewards.

Holy shit that's huge. I'm more of an Initial D fan personally but people will come to play this for sure. Great series
