Hey great post - I just put one of these together. Super easy, only took a couple of hours. My price was about 150 - between home depot, Lowes and another place in town to find the better thumb screws.

Thanks for the great ideas and pictures. I built a desktop version like the one at the start of the thread except I welded it together in a few spots using material I had around the shop.
