Not that you would know but I’m paid in American dollars so I wouldn’t need to be getting there money and when I convert it back to Canadian it works in my favour

Selling US money gives you a worse rate... more than Canadian sure, but go to the bank, sell them $100, walk out the door, turn around walk back in and buy $100, you will loose about 4% on the deal. I will buy all the US money you have for .22 on the dollar.

You are the one who said you sold it and suggested it worked in your favour. Just letting you know some more about the way exchange rates work.

I only offer the price I see them sell for on Kijiji and pinside there are 3 on pinside for 4500$ asking price I realize that’s in American dollars but 4500 American doesn’t exchange to 7000$ it exchanges to 5500 so I dont think a 6000$ offer is low balling

Using US$ asking/selling prices and converting to CDN$ is a flawed approach. Even if our dollars were at par, a pinball machine in the US would cost less than the same game here in Canada. It would be more accurate to take the US$, add something like 5% or more, then convert to CDN$. Then factor in the cost of bringing the game from the U.S. to Canada, etc. I wish it were as simple as converting sale price currencies.

The better comparison is with the same game sold elsewhere in Canada. And even then I notice the price of games in AB and BC to be a bit higher than ON or QC. Just my $0.02... Canadian.

I don’t sell it I meant if I did it would be in my favour because if I exchanged it I would get at least 22 percent more Canadian dollars
It’s in my favour because I’m paid in American not Canadian
Since Canadian is worth less but as I said I never would want Canadian because it’s not accepted in other countries
22% is wrong how many time do you need to be told this.
Second you say you dont sell it then how do you pay your Bill's in Calgary? In American dollars?

Third how did you get the price on your shitty space invaders that isnt selling?
Lots of those sell under 1k usd so at your 22% conversion 1220 canadain. Where did you get 2200? Also it ranks at 259 not that rating means anything to anyone who really knows pinball.

@mitch_a, stick to your price. It's very fair.

Someone with 45 pinballs in their home probably knows a thing or two about the pinball market in Canada :). Very nice machine btw!

Thanks I think it's fair too, plus I have a little wiggle room if someone wants to buy a second game at the same time.

Did a actual count yesterday sitting at 51 games.
Hoping to get down to 35 by Christmas.

That said I'm still cool with trades for rz +/- cash.

Also looking for a scion FRS but doubt anyone has that to trade
