Just a general FYI to everyone that Kijiji doesn't update the view count as quickly as you'd like to think or isn't nearly as accurate as you'd like to think. Lots of times when there are 0 views 3 or 4 people could have already replied to the ad. I see it on my own ads all the time.
Definitely true. I was second email. You gotta be quick on deals like that.
Nice to see an honest seller giving it to the first email and not waiting for the auction to start!

What do you guys recommend for a first pin? I am looking for fun factor and love games like fish tales, the getaway etc. That Jurassic park looks tempting. Thanks

I've played JP a few times and thought it was kind of meh. 8.0 on IPDB though says other people like it more. I recently sold a No Fear that I had for a few years and I really enjoyed that game, if it's in your neck of the woods and still available then check that one out.

FT and Getaway don't show up as often as some others, but they do show up if you're patient.

Thanks Mike for the honest review.
The JP for sale is half mine. I'm part owner on it, but I did all the work on this one. Probably about 30-35 hours into the shop job and changing it over to LEDs along with changing some of the connectors/headers out that were bad when I got it. Overall it cleaned up really nice, has no playfield wear (that I can remember) and the cab is in pretty good condition. It was in the last owners house for over 20 years and barely used. We posted it on the high end at $4500 because the condition and game play of it and also the amount of work that went into it. Fairly firm at that price right now, but if you are interested in seeing it and trying it out it definitely is a great first pin. Very fun indeed. Lots of people on pinside refer to is as the poor mans Addams's family. If you think about it the shots in JP are almost identical so that makes sense.

You don't mention if family friendly is important. JP is a great looking game, but gets old pretty quick. I had one and got tired of it. That said, it was my kids favourite and one still brings it up every now and again. The pinball eating TRex is awesome. Kids love that. The smart missile provides strategy for advanced players. The novice can use it to start multi-ball on ball 3 -- kids LOVED that. It was the most popular game whenever we had a party.

Budget is another important factor.

Good luck,
Duane

The new code released a couple years ago for JP fixes many of the bugs and makes the game much more interesting IMO.

Well if a JM at $3,800 is an "amazing" price then surely a $4,200 HSII is in the ball park. With this market, who knows.

The HSII is not mine BTW.
