Seller won't break the pair up - wants to sell them as a set - kinda like bookends

Just monitor the ad and see if he changes his tone in a few weeks or maybe you can try to find someone on here to take the other game. It might help speed things up to get what you want without running the risk of someone buying both these games and flipping the other.

I'd be consider going in with someone on the deal if they wanted only one of the two...interested in either title...however that price would need to come down quite a bit!

I would ask the seller for some more detailed playfield pics or if you are close by I would go check out both machines and determine what a fair split would be from the combined price. I know a nice High Speed can command $1500 to upwards of $2000 (I think?) and not sure about Comet but the one pic shows the ramps, plastics and playfield look to be in good shape.

I'd just hold off for a GetAway. It's a better game and can be found in the $2K to $2,500 range. Definitely worth the extra bucks.

Cheers,
Duane

High Speed has it's loyal and hard core fan base, too bad it only last 72 hours before I turfed it.

My motto for my collection: NO RAMPS, NO DMD, NO THANKS

Hmmmm....I can think of some exceptions to that rule. Adam just named one. Whirlwind is another awesome game. You are denying yourself some great games with that rule.

Cheers,
Duane

Damn, you got me :p

Finding one in decent condition is the problem and I've bugged Williams Fan before and he isn't letting his go anytime soon :(

Wong, if you had space, I am sure either Volley or C-37 would have made an appearance for EM's.
HA!
Since you don't have space, your rules make perfect sense.

No I didn't but did get email the seller and got better playfield pics yesterday. I asked if there was any wiggle room and they said make an offer but don't low ball cause he is not desperate. I really don't have space for it and knowing my luck, I buy this and a TAF pops up which I could make room for one more at the moment if I really had to

Brad is write and re-listed for $1700 here

Wipe Out! is a good sleeper game, but I still wouldn't have thought it was a $1700 game. (What me know? This year anything goes.)

$1700 seems a bit steep as I have seen this game pop up in the past for $1100-1200 obo I don't think "pinflation" has hit Gottlieb pins yet  I emailed the seller back just telling me what their bottom line is instead of me possibly offending them with my "lowball" offer so we will see. If their recent price increase is any indication I would think they are expecting more then what they set out initially at $1600.
