Well that High Speed sold rather fast

Sorry Ed, I forgot to post it day before and got busy at work with Monday meetings. I also missed posting that $2k Popeye but by the time I checked my text messages I saw a close friend already snapped it up.

I did have a closer look at High Speed this morning before I posted above and the playfield didn't look very good. I have seen nicer ones exchange hands in the last 6 months for not much more. If you interested in a High Speed I will keep an eye out for you.

Thanks Mike. High Speed is not on my wish list, but, it's a game that I enjoyed playing when I was younger. Just seeing what's out there while waiting for my grail pin.

Thant Flintstones is the one I sold a few months ago for $2,200. Looks like all he did was glue a flintstones car to the ramp and put an LED in the dinosaur, now it is worth $1000 more  :FP:

Geez guys, I feel like I'm being unfairly treated here (just found this thread).

I didn't just throw on a couple of mods and sell ( and I didn't "glue" anything on, everything is totally reversible). The machine needed a bunch of work and I did it. GI was toast (pulled the boards, did the solder work and replaced the male and female plugs), all 3 jet bumpers were beat up and brackets underneath were all cracked (not an easy job pulling all the assemblies and replacing with brand new parts), flippers rebuilt, LEDs added to inserts and backbox, a couple of spotlights added also, new playfield plastics, all new starposts, the legs were falling off so I replaced the inside brackets and all the bolts, did all the cabinet touch up work, heck, tired of going on here...

I'm not one of those guys that play the crap out of the machine, do nothing to it and sell it for a profit...

I wanted to like the machine but it wasn't my bag. In the end I made a big 150$ on the machine. Oh yeah, I even did a house call on the machine for free and they were an hour away! Cheap labor costs for the hours I put into it if you ask me.

I've sold 4 other machines and have not made a dime on them... and don't tell that to the wife...

It's always good to hear when people do more than wipe the PF with a cloth. These games need TLC most of the time, and everyone benfits when that happens.

I don't know why you would bring up a post from over a year ago (probably some nudging from another PBrev member. I find it hard to beleive you just "came across" something buried in classifieds over a year ago) but I'm pretty sure most of it is BS just to defend yourself. I obviously know this machine inside and out and I was the one to spend hours on it restoring it. The GI was working fine when it left no problems at all, you took more then a good look at it, more then a good look. Jet bumpers were fine when it left, I took them apart and cleaned them myself, nothing was wrong with them (this statement here is where I figured out it was all BS), like I said you took A GOOD look at everything and when you lifted the playfield you even commented with "wow, it's so clean under here. Everything's so shiny and polished" you were pointing at the flipper shaft when you said it, but you felt the need to do a rebuild anyway, sure. The playfield plastics were perfect with the exception of two that had cracks in them, not broken but cracks, and it was pointed out to you at the time of purchase. As far as the legs, I think that is the most insulting part of your BS post. I would never sell a machine with the "legs falling off". And you're telling me you would buy a machine with the "legs falling off"? Nice try but total BS. The front right leg had a bolt snapped off in it so there was no bolt in that one spot. You noticed it when you were taking a GOOD look over the machine and asked me why the bolt wasn't in. I told you it was snapped off, you lifted the playfield and looked very closely at all the other bolts and plates and said "no problem", but having one bolt snapped off in place is hardly "the legs falling off", once again nice try though. I do remember you using every little small thing like the snapped leg bolt to get a lower price though. I did a full picture documentation of my tear down and rebuild of flintstones and I can post pics of everything if you like, to outright show you're bullshitting. Also I have sold many pins, a lot more then four and I am sure if I asked any of those buyers, they would say I was a good seller and they would deal with me again. So whoever put you up to this really just made you look dumb and if I post the pics I could make you look even dumber. So please stop the nonsense.

Not condoning the call outs, but having dealt with QG before, when selling a game he will be the first to point out any flaws.

I've bought from him before and it was perfectly fine. A few things pointed out to me by him at time of sale, but no haggle and no bs.

I would deal again if the right machine came up, or vice versa.

I don't know anything about this flintstones, so I can only comment on my own experience.

I'm sure you did everything you say you did and yes the machine was clean and waxed, never said that you tried to pull anything on me. You were very nice to meet and to talk to.
OK, the legs weren't falling off but I found a couple of them wobbly when I got it home, so I fixed them, no big deal. Same with pops, I'm sure you had them all good at one point but I assume you played it afterwards, and some faults developed, so I fixed them up. GI was working but the connector was brittle from past heat, so I fixed it. And I did other stuff, I guess I'm a picky guy.
Anyways, I'm sorry if I offended you in any way.

It would be funny if its some lady, who threw her husband out for sleeping with her best friend, sees his minty HUO MM in the basement and decides to sell it.
