Impressive-how many pieces does that Lost World game split into? I remember that one being a pretty good gun game.

It only splits into three pieces. The PTV which was easiest, the main arcade cab the worst to get in, then the seat and canopy. It took a lot of figuring out and power lifting to get it in. My doors and hallway look like crap now though :FP:

My first load of checkpoint parts arrived at the door yesterday. I finally have some replacement coils, drop target stickers, the elusive 4A slow blow fuses I couldn't even find at Westburne.
So I soldered in one of the new coils where the previously melted slingshot coils was. Powered it up and blew the regular 4A I had in the place of a slo blow (as I had no other fuses at the time). I replaced the fuse with the new slow blow and powered up again and got a great light show and a pop when a transistor blew. I blew out the flame and pulled the motherboard for my tech buddy.
I gave it to him this morning in the parking lot before the start of shift. Should have it back before the weekend.

I guess "That's pinball baby!?" :FP:

Yeah I left the burnt out one in so I would wire up the new one correctly.
I am suspecting something a little earlier down the line. Maybe near the thumper bumpers.
My tech guy is pretty good. We should be able to track down the culprit.

Now that's some fast service.
My tech buddy hit me up this morning with the burned out component.
He supplied the number of it (since half the piece is missing and I'll see about finding a replacement.
Hopefully I will be all ready to go in no time flat.
Off to the city (London) for some meetings this afternoon. So it's time to get some paint pens and get the ball really rolling on my project.
It's not that I don't mind just playing. I just want that playing a 100% working machine (for as long or short a time that may be).

Also bought 2 sets of superbands for my collection (High speed and Checkpoint). Looking forward to the little differences.

Headed to Peterborough yesterday to get together with my school buddies as we do every year for Head of the Trent, but was also there to conclude a long ago agreed upon deal between Bish, WARLOCK and myself.

So Bish is in a new house, and his pins were put down there by movers, and this WW was the first machine coming out...ever.

That made this a challenging AND educational experience.

So we start cranking it up the stairs on the dolly, which went ok til we got to the curved steps. Really should have known better, as we wound up removing the dolly and doing the last few curved stairs by hand. Ok, no biggie, right?

Then we get to the door on the landing. Of course, it won't go thru. So while I'm hunting through Bish's garage, he's trapped in the basement, holding a pin up that is at this point sitting with only one corner with the rest of the weight leaning on him. So I get the door off, we get it onto the landing, and of course, the landing is too small to get the dolly back under the pin. So we haul it up the last 5 steps by hand.

Luckily Xenon with the head off went down much easier. In all, I was only away from the gathering for an hour, which really isn't too bad all things considering, but man, did I ever need that bottle of water Bish offered on my departure.

Looking forward to hauling WW downstairs this aft with the assistance of F14 Dave - I've missed it. It's the first pin ever making a repeat appearance, and therefore I don't think it'll be leaving again anytime soon.

While I've been quiet on the boards the last few years due to lots of great changes (marriage, moving, semi-retirement) my pinball hobby passion continued to simmer albeit in storage mostly and friends basements. ;-) I finally finished my new shop at my new house this fall. 2500 sq ft for my toys with a heated room to set up the rest of my games. Spent 2 weekends ago moving 45 games out of storage with my amazing partner and now starting to set them up. Only problem is they are spilling over into the vintage bug section. My original passion before pins. I figure in my hobby evolution I might eventually get to toys less than 100 lbs. (cars to antique furniture restoration to pinballs to ?.......) At least now I'll finally have a full pinball shop area with all my parts organized!!!

For pics, go here. I cannot get them to load in this post no matter what! :-(

Fixed it for you ME and reason was because you uploaded them as attachments on maaca. I just saved them and uploaded them here in your post.

Your new building looks great and I see you opted for the plywood finished walls over the ever popular pink insulation? It must be nice to finally be able to finally have all your games setup under one roof finally.

I installed my repaired board and fired up the checkpoint. No flash, pop or fire this time.
I still have the dead left slingshot so now I have to figure it out.
Otherwise it's back to 95% working or to where it was before the blowout. (damn slingshot I'll get you working yet)
I also went to Currys in London and picked up some paint pens to touch up the tread marks on the shooter lane and pit stop ring. I plan on paint touch ups later when I can find a ramp and have the machine out of service.
My wife likes playing checkpoint so it's best to keep her happy.

Bought some lighting gel sheets today to change the insert colors on my met premium. These work great for any stern that has the leds on circuit boards under the inserts.

That's how the fuel mods are done by mezel mods. But it doesn't say it's only for the Le or premium so it might work for incandescent bulbs too. I'll have to try in my sm. Already have the mezel fuel mod on my metallica and it looks great that's how I got the idea just to buy sheets and they were relatively cheap.
