Multimorphic is a different concept where you can buy a cabinet with the screen and can swap the top 1/3rd with their different titles they have built. Weird AL is one of them
Think of it as buying a console and the 1/3rd of the playfield are the games.

Exactly. Also like a console, if you buy it only to play 1 game it's totally NOT worth it. Buying new games for 2500-3000$ is where the business case starts to make sense.

Watched some game play last week. It looks interesting (especially the new Weird Al game) but I'd be very hesitant to invest in a machine like this right now, especially having never tried one.
Definitely keep watching though. I love the idea.
While it certainly is a different approach to pinball, these guys have been around for almost 10 years I think. It's not "new" by any means, just not widespread.

I guess it has been about 10 years. They're definitely not new to this, but I remember they were showing the prototypes at shows several years back. I always thought it looked super cool, but I've never played one. I always wondered how it'd shoot, given that there's basically nothing on the bottom part of the playfield. Means any game is automatically top-heavy.
ACtually the technology can track the ball all over the lower playfield so there are things you need to "hit" with the ball.
The fact only the top 1/3rd of it changes, would make for some pretty boring machines. Hardly anything would change. I'm a huge Weird Al fan, it's too bad someone else wasn't making the machine.

The layout is still the same. No physical game changes for 2/3rds of the machine. Sure, there is a video game aspect to it on the bottom of the playfield... but I'm not sold on that at all.

WOW! The first thing that comes in my mind is "pinball 2000" with the display in a place that you can actually see it and read it while you are playing.
I found this interresting video, the guy expresses his opinion on the game and unboxes it as well.

You mean, that vid is crazy interesting! I finally grasp what the P3 system is all about and the possibilities. Real innovative stuff!
Quality of the built seems out of this world. Though, I wonder if they could ever maintain such quality over a bigger, streamlined production.. 12 balls, automatic feed, intriguing (novel) flipper mechanism.. that platform sure would make for a fantastic steampunk game! That debunked Quetzal Nemo comes to mind, what a great theme it would be.
Now, that guy sure has a nice collection on display (looking at you, JJ RR!), great vid!
Price wise in CAD all in for a full game? Then for each platform?
Yes, I just discovered this concept this morning and I'm really tempted, especially that all of the games are available for purchase, there are 4 complete assemblies and 6 other games that can be used with different platforms. The first purchase is expensive but once you have the cabinet, adding another game afterwards is'nt that expensive.
