There are a few folks who can do it on the facebook ontario arcade/pinball group. I can vouch that Eugene Robinhood is good but I think he's also taking a break right now due to moving.
most people downsize so their mortgage payment is lower, or move to a location where a similar size house costs less. I think a few might move to the rental market but that's probably a lot more rare.
I know a guy in real estate who sold 56 condos in a new build here in Ontario and over 30 of...
I agree this is related to macro conditions as much as it is to conditions in the pinball community.
It's just like houses, I see tons up for sale right now because prices appear to have settled around all time highs and people are feeling the crunch of a bad economy. Better to get out now when...
Oh wow, I got caught in this too. Good thing I decided to PM here instead of e-mail. It looks like they are using a legit member's name but putting a fake e-mail in, not a bad scam to be honest it probably would have gotten me if I chose to e-mail.
The user's name is sewfrey1, avoid them they...
Interesting. Makes me wonder if the type of people who go to a bookstore would be annoyed by things like this but I honestly have no idea who still goes to book stores.
I need some parts from pbresource.com but it's kind of a pain to order as a first time customer from Canada. If anyone is making an order from them in the next little while I would love to add my parts to the order. I can cover shipping for both of us or something like that as a thanks.
lol, that would be fun if I could!
If you do decide to convert to PC just let me know if you have any questions. There should be existing guides out there on youtube and some other places too that I can help find.
It's fairly easy but requires a few different pieces of hardware. For the I/O the easiest to obtain/cheapest is a j-pac from ultimarc that converts the jamma output to USB.

If you want the cabinet lights to work you can...
Glad I could help. If you are looking to sell your 1st gen cab and get a newer one you will open up your options a lot by being willing to ship from the states or even asia. The availability of cabs in Canada beyond 1st gen is really limited.
You can also put a PC in your 1st gen cab and play...
That's super low, they may have been US X cabinets which are not great to say the least.
I paid $2200 for my DDR Korean 1st gen cabinet back in 2021. Since then prices have gone up a lot. If you get a first gen cab for under $4k I'd say you did well. (depending on condition of course)
The cabs...
Might want to try a better SD card. I didn't think it would matter but someone on the pinside IMDN board was complaining of a few issues with their new machine, one being a mech that would not go up and down properly and installing the code on a new SD card fixed it. Apaprently the ones Stern...
I really don't know how to feel about this. I splurged for a Metallica premium and hearing that it might come out on spike II and be compatible with IC annoys me a bit... makes my version feel less valuable. Then again in 15 years when the boards are impossible to get for spike II games maybe...
Actually my basement ceiling is so low it didn't fit even without the topper on! It sucks, hoping to move to a better place in the future so I can buy more machines. I'm going to have to sell my Arkanoid to fit 1812.
Thanks, I have no doubt it's been treated well based on his reputation!
I'm just working out the details to ensure it's going to work with my setup, does anyone know if it's taller than a Tee'd Off machine? I had to drill some legs with lower holes to get it to fit in my basement and it looks...
