    Can anyone fix my MAME?

Looks like a standard PC-when you boot, any BIOS beeps or anything? You have a VGA cable connected, what's that plugged into? I'd try connecting a single display and a regular keyboard and seeing what happens-best case is you can get into windows, but ideally even getting into the BIOS. There...

Steve Ritchie leaves Stern for JJP

The pinball news article had this bit in it: Had no idea that Lyman left Stern as well. Honestly, that's probably a bigger deal than Steve leaving.

SOLD Pool table, shop dust collector

My parents are downsizing, so they're selling some stuff off. Posting here to see if anyone is interested. Both are in the Mississauga (Winston Churchill/Britannia) area: - Dust collector for shop tools. Really useful because it kicks the vacuum system in with the tool start, so it'll...

    Bluffs Pinball Returns!

Awesome-glad to see pinball events starting up again! I figured Walt might be the first to set something official up :)

    Halloween pinball

If Rick and Morty is anything to go by, these will be gone quickly. No idea how distributors fit into the "fang club" model-the orders tomorrow only open to people who have bought a membership.

    Introduce Yourself!

Wow, hell must really have frozen over if Wayne (finally) bought a NIB game :) Strange times indeed! (congrats BTW-looks like a cool machine!) Definitely looking forward to getting back to league nights. Could probably set something up in August once everyone is Vaxxed?

    SOLD Spider-Man

I hear you there. Between the two of us, the list of "keepers" covers just about everything in the basement right now.

    Left table/Rolling Cart

I made this one out of a motorcycle jack from CT. I replaced the built in wheels with swivel casters, and put a box on top. Works great for lifting a game and moving it out of a row. Those little 3 wheel casters are better for bigger moves though-the lifter can be a little wobbly if you're...

    The Mandalorian

It looks...ok? Not sure about the rotating upper PF, and the magnet "feature" sounds kind of lame, but it's a good show, and I think the LE looks really nice with the "beskar" armor. First impression based off a couple of pictures is better layout than Zeppelin, but not as good as AIQ? Still...

Pro vs. Premium on a few pins

I'll usually decide on a case by case basis, and it'll usually depend on whether the pro removals make a huge change in gameplay. Maiden: I own a pro, but have played a few premium/LEs. In this case, I bought the pro because I thought the art package was better than the Premium, and that you...

    Stern Led Zepplin

Not a good first impression, especially after the new Avengers. Still want to see how it plays, and the rules make it sound like it'll advance through the songs as part of the gameplay (which could be interesting), but not really any interest in owning one yet (even if I did have the cash/space).

    Replay /Pinburgh announcement

I didn't expect 2021 to happen, but I thought maybe 2022? Too bad that they're liquidating, but hopefully PAPA/Pinburgh will be back in some form.

    Stern Star Trek - NIB?

Congrats on your first pin, but if you're going to be owning machines, then you'll have to learn at least a few basic fixes. Soldering a wire back on is something you'll definitely have to do again.

    Stern Star Trek - NIB?

Probably more recent-they did the final run last year (or maybe that was earlier this year). The manufacture date should be on the back. It's not unheard of for games to be in boxes for 7y, but it's not common. That takes up a whole bunch of space.

JJP Guns n Roses Not In This Lifetime

That looks promising for sure. I like what they're saying about the rules too-the fact that the song modes can end, and you can get booed off the stage could be interesting, and the risk/reward sounds like the Crank it Up feature in Metallica. Not going to get one this year (already in on an...

FS PIN2DMD replacement colour LED DMDs - regular size, small DE displays - large SEGA displays

Very cool stuff! I saw a few of these in action at Nick's place the other day, and they look comparable to the ColorDMD LED panels, but cost a whole lot less. I like the open source nature of the colorizations too.

    TIP Pinball machine for cafe

Agreed that the theme is probably the biggest deal. If something fits with the location, then go for that. Jurassic Park is a good choice, and I think Deadpool could do well too. Beatles might be too "retro" for what you're looking for. New Sterns are probably a good bet from a maintenance...

Trying to Document Old Arcade Locations

Neat, so does that include the one at Shopper's World in Brampton? That was down the street from my middle school, and I remember it was a little unique because there were two arcades in the mall (Fun & Games and Future World if I remember correctly). Seemed a little odd, but not going to...

    Anyone here into comics?

I've been collecting for about 30 years now too, and have only recently slowed down significantly. I'll still buy a few trades a month, but I'm basically done with singles. Don't think I have anything that's worth much (mostly Marvel stuff from about 1990 with a few older keys), but I still...
