    Unboxing: Game of Thrones, Premium

Congrats- I finally got a chance to play this yesterday, and I really enjoyed it. Time will tell how it holds up, but it seems like the house choice, mode, and multiball stacking are all interesting. The upper PF isn't entirely useless, and in theory the spending money for mystery awards is...

    Your First

First game I bought was a WCS from Dan in ancaster back in 09. Great game to start with, and having something that was clean and working from the outset was a great way to get into general maintenance stuff. If I had it to do over? I probably would have bought a lot more games back then...

    The Avengers 1.70 Code Update

Good for them-looks like a lot of bug fixes, and maybe a couple of adjustments that could change up gameplay. A little late in coming for bug fixes, but for rule changes and gameplay enhancements, there's a real argument to be made for a patch well after release. It gives people a chance to...

    CAD at .70

The rationale on the full kits was always that as long as I was changing out parts anyway, might as well replace the whole assembly, and when a PBL kit was 30 bucks, it wasn't a huge financial investment either. Now that it's going to cost way more to replace those parts, I'm a little more...

TIP Stern Flipper Rebuilt Kit - Where to buy?

Hmm, good to know about those parts. I've still got a bunch of spares on hand, so I haven't had to replenish in about a year, but I'll keep that in mind.

TIP Stern Flipper Rebuilt Kit - Where to buy?

What's wrong with the PBL kits? I've used them for B/W games in the past, and they're fine (although they don't come with the bushings).

Powerball USA someone willing to buy tickets for me ?

I'd add "get a completed Zidware game" to the list of things more likely than winning powerball.

Lord of the Rings Gimli VUK issue

I'd also check to make sure that the mech under the PF isn't loose, and maybe check the coil sleeve to make sure that it isn't just crud keeping the mech from moving as smoothly as it should. Does anything else on the game seem underpowered (flippers, other VUKs)?

    Stern announces Spider-Man Vault Edition

I think the "changed code" is just accounting for new mode names, dots, and callouts, and maybe some new LED effects. I can't see them changing the rules-it's one of the things people like about the game anyway. For the new modes, I'll bet the goals are the same. Wonder how long it'll take...

    Stern announces Spider-Man Vault Edition

Some of the artwork on that is great. Marc Bagley is one of the definitive Spider-Man artists at this point, so no surprises there. I'm a little surprised that they went with the Ultimate look for everything, especially since they've just ended that whole universe in the comics, but Marvel...

    Rob Zombie Pinball Reveal

I actually liked the look of AMH as a game, but never got to play one (and now probably never will). This one just doesn't interest me as a theme-I'm kind of indifferent to Rob Zombie's music, and have no interest in the movies. The PF also looks really...blank? That whole middle area is just...

    Pinburgh Registration in 10 mins

Wow, 700 spots in 3 hrs. Have fun everyone! I'll make it down one of these years.

FS "Not Mine" Pinball Machines For Sale

Someone will probably buy it at that price. I've never played it, but I've always been morbidly curious to see whether it's really as bad as people say. Looks like lots of shots are obscured by the big ass boat on the PF though.

    SOLD Corvette Pinball Machine 1994

It's a fun game, even if you're not a car guy. I've played it a few times, and it's not a super common WPC game.

    stern's next band pinball

I think the problem is that a lot of newer bands don't have anything that's iconic as far as imagery/artwork to go with a pin, and even some older ones struggled (like the Stones). For example, a Foo Fighters or Pearl Jam pin would have great music, but what would the game look like? The...

ColorDMD's next game is Iron Man

The custom dots look good, but yeah, the movie capture stuff is a little craptacular (but then again, it always has been). I'm still impressed by the improvement I've seen through their different releases though-the newer games are much less flat than the first few.

Barenaked Ladies playing at Massey Hall Tonight

That was pretty great, and completely unexpected. I also thought it was neat that Ed brought his two sons out to play a song with the band. Not many kids that age can say they've played a sold out Massey Hall show. Fun show overall-I was a little surprised at some of the stuff on the setlist...

    Building a Dream

Congrats on getting it this far-almost to the point where things can start being a little more DIY. Assuming you're still planning on doing all the interior electrical yourself?

    Room / Pinball Lighting

What kind of track light did you end up using? I always thought that a track with a bunch of spots on it would give you the same problem as the pot lights, just with more point sources that you could aim a little better.
