    NES / SNES Console

Agreed with the others-if you're going with a repro console, might as well just do the PC/Emulator thing. I've actually got these running in a couple of places: my MAME has all of the console/arcade stuff running on a CRT with a custom arcade control panel, and I also have an HTPC that I've...

Paypal scam - is there a scam that starts with getting a paypal account?

Interac EMTs are your friend here. I don't think those are reversable/disputable.

Barenaked Ladies new SILVERBALL album coming June 2, 2015

So, is anyone else going to the Massey Hall show on Friday? I waited a little too long to get tickets (had to make sure we could get someone to watch the kids first), so ended up getting seats up on the 3rd level, but it should still be a fun show. Haven't seen these guys live in years-I think...

Princess Auto 660lb Hydraulic Scissor Lift Table

I made a lifter sort of like this using a motorcycle jack a couple of years ago, and it works great. It's a little tricky to move on carpet, but on a harder surface it'd work much better. The ones at CT can regularly be had for under $100.

Red & Ted's Roadshow Interactive Dual Beacon Topper

Very neat idea-thanks for sharing Mike!

The Daily News! All about the members.

Booted up TZ this weekend for a quick game and noticed that the powerfield magnets weren't working when I got up there. I'd seen this happen once before, but it went away so I didn't think much of it. Second time in the same game though and I pulled the glass off to see what was up. Turned...

    Building a Dream

Why wouldn't you just charge a flat host fee instead of tokens? With tokens, you need mechs for a ton of machines, plus making change, plus the hassle to switch things on/off of free play all the time.

Who here is buying NIB Pins

So if you buy a game in NY, but the distributor is based elsewhere, you don't have to pay NY tax?

    SOLD Apollo 13

Very odd game that you don't see too often. Is there more to it than the 13 ball MB though? That's a cool location gimmick, but I have no idea whether the game holds up at all. Played one maybe 5 years ago.

Who here is buying NIB Pins

If you're buying in the states, do you have to pay state tax on the machine when you're down there? I know the Canadian market is pretty small, but I still find it odd that starburst has a monopoly on distribution. Is this common in other countries?

    P3 - Lexi Lightspeed Video Expo '15

Right, but the Zen stuff has more that interacts with the ball in the bottom/mid field. From the video, it looks like the bottom 70% of the game is just the stuff on the screen, which means that even though you can "hit" things, it's no more than a rollover switch (unless they have something...

    P3 - Lexi Lightspeed Video Expo '15

The ball tracking is a little much, but it's a neat idea. I'd still like to try it out for myself, but just from the video, it looks like the games for this are going to be pretty barren. I don't think the interaction with the virtual stuff is going to be near as satisfying, so maybe if the...

Who here is buying NIB Pins

I'm still planning on getting the Hobbit, but it depends on what the landed price ends up being.

Stern announces next pin...Game of Thrones

    Neat topper, but I'm guessing it's what-an extra $500?

#13 STTNG Tie Back Mod *BEST WAY*

I'm pretty sure that in IJ and TZ these drivers were only used for flashers. STTNG is the only game that uses it for coils. The real question is, why not drive the coils from the main driver, and the flashers from the AUX? Better still, why drive the coils that are the absolute hardest to see...

SOLD HUO XMEN LE WOLVERINE 850 PLAYS

There are 300 Wolverines, but only 250 Magnetos.

    Room / Pinball Lighting

I've actually been looking at something to replace the pot lights in my basement too. I thought about doing the LED strips/crown molding that I've seen people try, but I don't think it's really going to give you much light (more of an accent than a lighting solution), and I don't really think...

    Calling All Enablers!!!

If you're not sure what you want, your best bet is to get out and check out some other collections. There are lots of us in the GTA with newer machines, with pretty much any of the Stern and 90s B/W games around in one form or another in this small area. The easiest way to check out a bunch of...

New code - Tales From The Crypt and Jurassic Park!

Neat-is this the same guy who did the DESW ROM a few years back? Nice to see these games getting updates, and it seems much cleaner than something like CCC (drop in, no PROC).

    Building a Dream

You'd think underground would be better, wouldn't it? I can imagine one of those lines getting downed at some point, and taking forever to get fixed, not to mention that you'd be on the hook for the cost then. And if that happens, say, the week you're hosting IFPA?
