This always sounded like a neat game-wonder if it'll ever get remade? Gene was talking about it at one point, but that ship has probably sailed. PPS maybe? You could probably get away with $8-10k these days for one.
So the LE feature list so far is...bronze armor? Probably Invisiglass too?
Also, fire button or something on the lockdown bar. Wonder what that could control on the PF?
Looks like whatever deal with the devil that I had with Rogers has expired, and bundle price went up by 50 bucks. Looking for other options. Only real criteria are fast, unlimited internet, and something that'll let me keep my current home phone number (thinking about something like voip.ms...
The custom sized LCD is what gets me here-that can't be a cheap part to source (always the reason that the colorDMD displays have been standard AR screens).
Looking good-so 70 or so games in the barn, plus whatever ends up in the "annex" that'll inevitably be the current basement space :)
Now the only problem is going to be filling up that room. Once this is paid for, be prepared for Adam to start buying just about everything.
You know that the power supply is getting juice, but what about the lines coming out of it? Does anything change if you unplug connectors from the power supply to the rest of the game, and put them back one at a time? Without schematics it's a guess as to what goes where. Someone around here...
Re: The Future Of Pinball is coming - Virtual Reality Pinbal
Head tracking and 3d would be great for this-I wonder if the pinball arcade folks are going to officially support Oculus when they actually release a consumer version of the rift?
The search on http://www.ifpapinball.com/calendar/ is pretty good from the looks of things, although there's at least one event missing from the list that i know of. Coming up in the next month though:
-Walking Dead Launch party (Oct 10)
-Toronto Project pinball charity tournament (Oct 18)...
Re: My ST Pro Refinery Edition- props to seller Quarter Grab
The game is definitely growing on me, that's for sure, and that refinery edition looks really nice. I like the side rails and the alt translite-almost looks better than the LE. I don't think I'd move something out to get one of them...
That's a good look at some of the tech for the game if nothing else. I like the idea on the LED boards. They've also got some video on the website of a shaker test with the driver board mounted under the PF, and it looks like they've pulled off the design. We'll see how it fares in the wild...
Looks like a good start-so both ramps can divert to either side, plus the left one lifts up on the LE for a bash toy? The crossbow on the LE looks a little like the austin powers cannon (but bigger).
I've never seen the show, but a comic artwork package was probably too much to ask. That LE...
In that last post, you mentioned this:
Wasn't Avengers the next game after X-Men? I'm pretty sure that X-Men was June 2012, and then Avengers was Dec 2012.
Not sure that a baseball theme would work or not work, but it's probably an uphill battle for most pinheads. People will buy a great...
So does this mean that all future LEDs will be board mounted? I suppose socketed LED bulbs don't make much sense for inserts if you can save on having to put the sockets there in the first place, but it does suck if one of those LEDs dies. They last a whole lot longer, sure, but not forever...
We've got fun and games!
Another great way to get to play a whole pile of different games is to come out to some TOPL nights. Even if you're not a great player, the league is still a great excuse to socialize and play pinball every Monday.
