Way to go Adam! Talk about playing pinball! This tournament format looks intense.
8 rounds!
And the final rounds go with head to head play. If I read this correctly, you could play as many as 9 games against one player. Wild!
And there you have it. I'm sure the unfinished state of the game had some impact on your decision.
The fact that game play will be identical on the non LE versions makes opting out easier to do.
Personally, I'm waiting for some updated code and then giving it a second spin. Kind of like...
In all honesty I cannot recall how I felt about the 94 season... I seemed to recall a lot talk about a ref and some non-Gretzky call :P... but ya, I'd say a substantially shorter season is something to note. Making it to the playoffs is one thing, and all teams are playing the same 48 or 50...
Adam, if timing is still a concern (shipping from another country) you may want to try opto part# OPB804.
The opto part number you need rang familiar to me... and then I recalled that I had to order a similar opto years ago when rebuilding my TZ clock. The clock optos were special: part number...
I figured as much that's why I mentioned Digikey has fast shipping, 2 to 3 days.
Best to call Sayal directly for part availability. Their Markham store is open tomorrow.
Others can chime in about compatibility.
You'd have to compare specs to see if your two are suitable alternatives, specifically the forward and max collector current, and max collector-emitter voltage - not to mention the actual physical dimensions need to be the same. But why not just order the part# shown on the schematics...
Re: Mirror Blades - pre-order for January batch
I got a set of Drano's gold blades for my Congo. Ultra thin and installed in a snap. The gold look is sweet.
I was there this afternoon and gave the game about a half hour of play. The WOZECLE was on display. I believe the WOZ code has not changed although this was my first in person look.
Game modes don't really do anything. Multiball starts but there aren't any jackpot shots. RESCUE on the mini PF...
Dr. Who is in the house! I've just been 'containered' :)
Thanks go to Gerard for providing access to these games, and a special thanks to Mike and Glenn for arranging the smooth (and cost efficient) delivery to the GTA.
It was nice meeting you Mike, Glenn, Kurt and Stuart.
Now back to the...
Don't forget to wax your ramps. That helps immensely.
Side to side level is a must. The game's all wrong if it's not. But that's beef #2 with me. I'd put proper flippers as #1. Working flippers with correct coil stops/plunger lengths are a must (with decent alignment relative to the lane...
Back in 2006 I bought my first pin, a Stern Monopoly. My thinking was to get something new so that repairs wouldn't be a concern.
I really didn't like it much and within about 6 months I traded it in... and upgraded to a TZ which I still have.
