Yeah, try and stay away from the gold contact versions unless the IC's you're installing are also gold contacts. Mating dissimilar metals is not recommended as they will oxidize over time. This has been your daily PSA. D

    Building a Dream

Nope, just get a good concrete sealer from a building supply place that comes in the large gallon pail. I can take a picture of the stuff that I used tonight and send it to you, great stuff. (you will still have to prep/etch the floor but it's not as critical) D

    Building a Dream

I edited my last post probably after you replied. Regardless of what you put down, you will also still want to seal the concrete with something to keep the dust down. (it will also help with moisture) D

    Building a Dream

If it's a choice between one or the other I'd be rolling with the tile over epoxy, not just because of cost. The tiles will be much more forgiving on the feet / legs, and the cost is a bonus. One thing to think about with the tile though is you will still want to seal the concrete regardless...

    Building a Dream

I personally am a huge fan of the commercial epoxy flooring, but that always comes at a cost and you get what you pay for. The benefit to the swisstrax stuff is depending on the product you select it will likely have a better fatigue rating than a bare concrete or epoxy coated floor, which I'm...

Ball "lost" in The Twilight Zone? lol

As others have suggested, empty ALL of the balls from the game using the test menu. Once you are 100% sure all of the balls have been removed from the game this way make sure you have 5 steel and 1 ceramic. If you haven't removed the extra steel ball you had to add in order to get the game to...

    Your First

First game was Funhouse back in 2000 or 2001? After all these years, that game is still in my collection and no plans on it leaving. It wasn't mint by any means, but it was 99% fuctional and it plays great. (I actually haven't done much of anything to it since purchasing it) If I had to do it...

    White Water - MPU Issue?

Yep, sounds issues are the WORST to troubleshoot on any game because it can be so many different things causing the issue. The trick is to nail down where the issue is without going crazy. You likely won't be able to swap in one ROM from another game with the Wh20 ROMS as it will likely...

    White Water - MPU Issue?

No, the sound PCB will not like it of all the EPROMS are not present as it will fail the checksum. You can try it, but I'm not sure how successful it will be. D

    White Water - MPU Issue?

I would have to check my Wh20 sound and music test menu to confirm what sounds / music are available for testing, but I'm pretty sure they never give you everything available in the EPROMS. Likely what you see available are sound and music calls from each data line. It is entirely possible...
