I think KI uses a standard Jamma harness and the extra kick buttons are just that... extra and not used unless the jamma board in the game requires them. If your jamma pcb doesn't need them, don't connect the kick harness... D

If the magnet coil is shorted, it would act the same as a shorted plunger style coil. The resistance would drop, which in turn would make the coil stronger (not weaker) and eventually the resistance would be too low that it would draw so much current it would either blow the associated fuse...

I would swap the speakers left to right first to try and at least eliminate a bad speaker as that's an easy fix. If the problem moves with the speaker, then you need a new speaker. If it doesn't move, start by reseating the connectors and making sure all the wires are not pinched anywhere. If...

The coin cell's are usually Lithium Ion and as such are not prone to leaking. D

Yep, TAF has the exact same issue. The ColorDMD does a piss poor job of lighting these up as it just doesn't have the output to do it, so the DIY LED conversion Mike posted works great. D

Looks like D33 goes to a transistor that's already been removed so no need to repopulate. You can confirm this visually and with your DMM. D

That right there is the biggest unknown... Who in their right mind thinks Stern would only charge $10 for the digital table? My money is on the digital version costing much more than that, unfortunately. D
