Canada is projected to have the fastest growing economy of the G7 in 2025. GDP is growing, inflation rate is at 1.6%, interest rate was just cut by 50 points today. The bail system isn't "broken", the percentage of criminals denied bail is higher than when the conservatives were in power, and the supreme court has rejected making it more restrictive given that the chart of freedom guarantees reasonable bail. I'm not sure what you expect the conservatives to do there. And when Harper made tax cuts, it primarily benefited the rich while causing a massive amount of debt and cutting a whole slew of social programs.

You should try looking at facts rather than the bullshit the conservatives are trying to push.

I am having a laugh watching the Liberal party implode on a daily bases. How long do you give Justin? His own party wants him gone, not just the majority in Canada. Maybe the block will take him out in another week on another confidence vote? We know Jughead and Trudy have a special relationship. You know if you vote Liberal you get a bonus NDP on the side, but how do you tell if you are electing a compromised MP/Chinese spy, when they won't release the names, or the documents for the 400 million $ Green Slush Fund?

Your figures are typical Liberal talking points and meaningless, do you ever watch HOC, Liberals say the very same stuff over and over again, yet prices of everything are way up. You do know the Liberals spend like a drunken sailor and achieve very little. Their fine business skills have caused them to more than than double the national debt.
All I can tell you is Axe the tax, and keep the faith if you are rooting for Justin, but its looking pretty bleak, IMO.

they're all self serving and pretty lame overall! not much to respect in 2024, both federally and provincially.

however, there's just something really wrong with that guy jeff (*pierre).

voting for this creep to "own the libs" is a self own, especially if you work for a living. he's been campaigning for years, despite there not being an impending election.

my two cents: if you think conservatives will "save canada", you need to touch grass and actually read up on their voting record(s). if you work for a living, you're not a priority for the current batch of reformacons/christofascists. the harper/IDU connection is also really sketchy.

Like any political party, they have an expiration date, which seems to be about ten years in Canada, and then the plebs gets sick of them, despite their party, but Trudeau is particularly bad. Never has Canada seen such a corrupt narcissist leader that has done so much wrong.

Like him or not, Pierre is the next PM. People vote for change, and it wouldn't take much to surpass the woke progressive cult of Trudeau. He has till Oct 28 to resign or a large enough chunk of his party will help vote him out. You know you have a fail political party when your own people are sick of see you.

The Federal government is effectively failed right now anyways, there is no new business until Trudeau produces the SDTC unredacted documents that show where the 400 million went within the corrupt Liberal party lining their own pockets.

Not sure how anyone can support drama queen Trudeau at this point, he is a trainwreck.

They are fudging the books as always.. personally, I'm fed up with all party's. When you realize Texas pays zero income tax, 6.25% sales tax and the state is booming! Canadians are getting fucked over by all parties. The only thing you can do is leave. I'm done with Canada. 122 people I know plus businesses are out. I feel bad for the newcomers that were talked into coming here, tough go for sure. Words gonna keep spreading, mass exodus. DONE WITH CANADA

have you ever been to texas? you sound like somebody who has never been there, but read some travel brouchures or listened to some sales pitches.

texas has more road tolls than any other state out there, so you can enjoy paying more to drive more.

which you'll be doing bc driving is the only way to get around. there are entire cities (i.e. arlington, population 400,000) without public transit.

sure, you'll pay less income taxes, but you'll be paying service fees, health insurance, road tolls, more $$ for lower quality food, etc. it all evens out somehow right? it's all just perspective. if you're truly sick of canada, get your US citizenship (*a very priviledged thing to be able to) and become a permanent resident. now you're the immigrant that you harp on about.

can we get back to talking about how pinball is great?

Working on it. When I grew my business, I traveled to every city all across North America and there are a lot are shit holes, mostly blue states. Elections matter!. Las Vegas is the fave, but no business there for what we do... but I'll be able to go anytime, it's so close. Ocean is right there.. business is already booming, bank account exploding. Bought 4 pinball machines already, haha. All is going really good there, been there for 18 months setting this up, absolutely love Texas. Thanks.

You make decent points and then follow them up by name calling which to me is how you lose credibility, not how you debate. Am I sick of Trudeau? Yes, you bet your ass I am but to say that PC is going to sweep in and fix everything that's broken is a joke. You think Pierre is going to fix the high cost of everything? The companies controlling greedflation are the same ones putting money into the governments pockets. We can't even get the our cellphones/internet pricing regulated here and that's been debated for over a decade. Look at Pierre and tell me he isn't going to end up as corrupt as everyone else in 4-8 years. The guy reeks of scandal waiting to happen.

I not really here for serious debate, just a little banter. You need a sense of humor in todays Canadian wacko political world. Do I know if voting CPC is going to fix everything...no. But Conservatives are more likely to get the economy back on track and run the country like a business, where as comrade Trudeau runs the country with woke communist ideology, and don't worry, the budget will balance itself attitude. Make no mistake, CPC will be getting a majority government with major lead in the polls.
Trudeau is surely the most openly corrupt, unethical and hated leader Canada has ever seen, so it wouldn't be too hard for any half-assed politician to do better than the current line-up of buffoons in the Liberal party.
And today, we now know a few names of the Liberal/Chinese communist spy that Trudeau was hiding, namely Trade minister Mary NG, among 4 others that have been exposed, and there are still many others in the Liberal party waiting to be known, along with exposing the 400 mil Green Liberal slush fund and many other criminal scandals. I hope Trudeau actually sees criminal charges for crimes against Canadians.

At least with the government is essentially shut down due to Trudeau refusing to release Green Slush fund documents, means the extreme commie Bill C-63 will never happen and free speech is preserved.

Maybe wait to see what Pierre can do before you expose all the non-existent scandals before they happen. I am sure no other government can top the record level of corruption of the cult of Trudeau and his NDP/Liberal Party.

It would be absolutely amazing if a Billionaire CEO Canadian patriot had enough and decided to jump into politics.. gut the waste in Ottawa, run Canada like a corporation. No one can buy them or corrupt them ever. Hoping.
My Aunt was in the hospital recently, I looked up how much a bedroom cost, they billed the Canadian government $985 a night just for the room with one bed. A hotel has 2 beds for $125 a night and the hotel is making a profit! Just one example, billions are being wasted everywhere while your taxes go up.
64% tax before you buy something, no wonder. Crazy!

please stop it with the self-owns lol.

a billionaire running the country like a business? look, we've got several con premiers who are doing that right now, and it obviously is not working whatsoever for anyone except them and their elite pals.

look at doug ford and how he's blatantly making bad business deals to enrich his cronies, whilst dismantling healthcare by starving the beast.

beer, roads and fighting the culture war are now the only priorities for these pricks.

the only war that matters is the class war.

canada going from #1 to #3 in safety in the entire world is still a goal that many first world countries would love to achieve.

meanwhile, you're blabbing on and on about moving to texas, the third least safe state in the entire country.

also, 48th place in terms of emergency preparedness.

with all sincerity, get out of your echo chamber bud.

did i mention pinball rules?????

Yeah, the hotel analogy only works to prop up the 'efficient business' narrative. Hospitals don't compete for occupancy.

But if that's the game, then a better comparison is Toronto during a Taylor Swift concert night when occupancy is closer to capacity and the want becomes a NEED. Consider the 1 night cost of a simple Holiday Inn. There's that ole' unfettered capitalism at work!

Besides, I wouldn't want a minimum wage to ensure my room is free of germs. They deserve way more than that.

I appreciate the Dialog everyone. Doug ford is not a billionaire, he's making bank on the side for sure. We need someone that can't be corrupted, that doesn't care about money anymore. If you can think of a better solution, I'm all ears.
And if you have never lived in Texas, you'll never understand. Canada use to be the safest in the world, it's unfortunate when I hear about friends going through huge crime drama that were not used too. Never happened before 2015.
