What will be available for play at Antisocial?
The roll call continues today with...

Machine 60: Pirates Of The Caribbean (Stern)

The greatest pirate adventure of all-time is a pinball machine from Stern Pinball! Pirates of the Caribbean pinball features exciting elements from the first movie, as well as Pirates of the Caribbean/Dead Man’s Chest.

For those fans of the movies, Pirates of the Caribbean pinball machine adapts the characters and settings from the two Disney films perfectly into a pinball playfield. Two former Williams’ developers designed Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean, game designer Dennis Nordman and rules designer/software engineer Dwight Sullivan.

The goal of Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean pinball is to go on a pirate adventure to defeat Davy Jones, Jack’s nemesis in Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean/Dead Man’s Chest.

Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean offers the following features:

-A mechanical pirate ship that the player strikes with the pinball. With each hit, the ship lowers its sails and eventually sinks into the playfield, thus revealing a shot into the Kraken’s mouth. In this area, the player can sink the ship, destroy the Kraken, and fight Davy Jones.

-A mechanical treasures chest, the Dead Man’s Chest, through which the player can shoot the ball. When the player has the KEY, the chest opens. They can then spell H-E-A-R-T to begin HEART multi-ball.

-A contained spinning rubber disk where the player can capture up to three pinballs. The disk bounces them around in the contained area and holds them for an extended period of time till the player starts multi-ball. The disk sometimes represents Tortuga and other times Port Royal.

-A map compass comprised of playfield inserts that shows the player each feature they need to finish. Complete all eight features and play Four Winds Multi-ball.

Machine 61: Jurassic Park (Premium Edition)

Like the blockbuster movie, the Jurassic Park pinball experience generates heart pounding excitement as the player progresses through the game. As the game starts, the player is transported to Isla Nublar, an amusement park where escaped dinosaurs are running amok! The player’s mission is to rescue park staff and recapture dinosaurs from the chaotic environment unleashed by Dennis Nedry’s computer virus. All dinosaurs, however, are not created equal as players will battle Raptors and the mighty T. Rex! The game immerses players in the fun world of battling dinosaurs in an action-packed adventure filled with twists and turns.

Unfortunately, it seems we were severely misled in regards to the power available to the unit we are renting. While we have found a somewhat temporary solution, Antisocial's opening is now indefinitely postponed. We will have a clearer idea of timeline at the end of next week.

Just a quick update of the status of Antisocial. We will have to redo the entire electrical system for the unit we have rented. We have been told by the electrician that it will take around 3 weeks to get the permit, get the work done and inspection. After that we are looking at around a week to move all the machines in and the final touches. So, the good news is that we are still opening, but we are looking at about a month until that happens.
Yes, very anticlimactic...
To offset this disappointing news, here is something to get excited about...
John Wick LE @ Meeplemart this Sunday afternoon!!!

All electrical work has now been completed and some finishing "construction" touches will be completed tomorrow.
We plan on moving machines in over the next week and hope to open sometime between September 13-20.
This will not be a "grand opening" but rather a "soft opening" as there is still more work to be done in regards to décor etc. However, we want to get this going and Antisocial will be a work in progress for the first few months as we continue to improve it.
Stay tuned for more updates soon!
