So does it make a difference? Was it worth it?

I would say yes it is worth it considering a FF subwoofer only kit is $94.95usd plus shipping and can only be installed in a single game. With this Polk sub you can potentially hook up to two games that are side by side. There was a discussion in frolic's subwoofer thread about how you can use a mixer and hook one up to more games (4-5?) at once.

This exact sub has been on sale for $79 amazon.com and even newegg.com I am sure Futureshop and/or Bestbuy have a sale on this again for $99.99 in the next few weeks.

Was it worth it? I will find out today when I get home from work as I barely got to play for 5 minutes before I woke my wife up and she came down at 1am to see what the hell I was doing :p

Finally got around to opening the Polk sub I picked up a few weeks ago and hooking it up to Tron last night at 12:55am. Only took till 1:00am for the wife to come down to see what all the noise was since our bedroom is right above my pins

I have a few subs downstairs hooked up - I run them all off the same powerbar so I can switch them off for late night pinball!

Was at my parents house for dinner yesterday and decided to fire up POTC. Never had great scores with this pin, but yesterday proved to be different.

Took a horrible picture, but broke 100 million off my first ball. Filled most of the compass and fought Davy Jones (didnt beat him on first ball though).

Well work is very busy, and there is almost no time for pinball. This trend will continue for 4 more weeks at least.

A surprise break from work on Tuesday night led to meeting another Ottawa collector and sending a pin his way.
3 of my last 5 pinballs that sold went to Ottawa. Still a few more pins to go, so if anyone is looking PM me.

I need some space, because as soon as school is over, it is time for heavy pinball summer projects. Woo hoo!
Oh, I replaced a broken DMD. Not much to tell there, pretty easy fix. Just the requirement to find another.

Similarly busy, as the school year starts to get near an end and I'm cramming the planning of a major trip (Ottawa - watch out - bringing 80+ 13 yr olds your way soon!) into two months that I normally spread over eight.

My current pinball project, that I'd hoped to have completed by the weekend, has been seriously lacking in time to pay attention to it. It's just a good cleaning and re-rubbering, but that takes time. More time than I seem to have. Ob-la-di, I guess. I still haven't even put the new widebody glass I brought back from Atown onto Roadshow.

In fact, I'm not even sure why I'm taking the time to type this out....

Good luck on the school trip and make sure you come back with 80 plus kids and not 80 minus a few

And hopefully they are the same ones that went originally

Finally got around to fixing the UR flipper on my TZ. It had started to stick up occasionally, usually after a bunch of games. I'd replaced the sleeve/stop already, but that hadn't done it, so I just went and installed the full rebuild kit on it. On one hand it's harder to get at upper flippers like this to fix them, but on the other, they're much easier to align correctly :)

That reminded me that I should really go in and clean the underside of that game sometime. It plays great, but man is the wiring harness etc dirty.

Was pretty disappointed. Thinking there would be a home-field advantage, but I played like crap, mostly, except for my first ball on TSPP.

Barring that, though, it was a lot of fun. HIgh Speed Tom was there too, but declined to partake due to the greatness of the rest of us. By the end of the night, I think he had realized his folly.
