It's called paying for a voting service. There's no other way unless he managed to get every single member of Pinside to vote for him in a 24hr period. I mean at 9:30am this morning Nick was around the 6K vote mark. Now he's in 3rd place with over 15K!
Guess what it comes down to is paying...
I've never been good with the current market pricing game, but that sounds reasonable. You might have a difficult time locating plastics for this game... if I recall they are not easy to come by. (then again I could be thinking of another game around the same era)

Sounds like a trough / switch issue. Could also be something as simple as too many balls installed in the game. I wouldn't say the issue isn't fixable, but how difficult it is will depend on your comfort and skill level.
I would say as long as the price reflects the issues with the game (and...
Black is timeless, so you can never go wrong with that. While the yellow is a bit loud, I'm actually somewhat partial to it but I can see it getting a bit old quick.

While I can understand the science behind this argument when dealing with CPU's and heat sinks with large surface areas (because lets be honest that argument involves more than the amount of paste but even the type and how it's applied), but when you're dealing with single junction transistors...
For CPU's with thousands and even millions of internal transistors yes, I would agree with you as the surface area of those parts is large and thermal transfer is critical. For low level switching transistors with a single junction, I don't see how any of that information is relevant as it's an...
The amount you apply is not important, unless you're not applying enough. Applying too much paste doesn't negatively effect the thermal transfer properties because the amount of "squish" is the same regardless given these parts are screwed to a heat-sink. The only downside to adding too much...
I would try taking that suspect switch out of the column and see if that fixes the issue. If it does, try replacing the switch with a new one. Also make sure the diodes are all installed on the switches in the correct direction!
