Glad you ended up doing it the way you did... I wouldn't have wanted to get that call to come repair your MPU. At least this way everything is completely separate from the game should anything go wrong.

The problem I've found with GnR sound is the amount of compression DE had to use to get everything packed into the ROM's they had available at the time, which is what Goodmanners is likely talking about.
The best way to describe it is loading up your mp3 player with songs using 128K bitrate or...
That is definitely a source sync issue. Most cards cannot produce native 15khz or 24khz sync... although if it's a AVGA card it should work no problem.

What I'd like to know is where in the blue hell have all of these missing door's ended up?!? It's crazy to think about all the missing door's over the years... they must be SOMEWHERE!

So this one will be a first for me... in that I was out at a service call last night working on a reset issue in a Twilight Zone. Now that in and of itself is not new, anyone that has been into pinball for any legth of time should know that Twilight Zone is just one of those games that can be a...

I've often wondered this myself, and I honestly cannot come up with an answer to this other than overall cost? Back in the day it was probably cheaper (parts & labor) to run all that wire and tie it to a coil vs. terminating it to another connector as the wire was probably much cheaper than the...
To be honest I'm not sure and I would have to look at the cab wiring schematics to see if they indicate how they did it, but my guess is they tied it into the 50V in the head somewhere.
If you wanted to take my mod one step further, you might also want to replace the IDC connector on the right...
Alright, for anyone that owns or has owned a STTNG you likely have heard about the dreaded Aux8 PCB "tie back" wire along with all of the issues this game can have surrounding it. For those that have not heard about this particular issue, the coles notes are this...
STTNG has a LOT of parts...
I would stand behind ANY product Ed @ GPE has made over any other on the market. The issue can be supply, as Ed is frequently back-ordered on this stuff. (for good reason... it's the best)

All said and done, it rings in between $450-and $600 right now mostly because of the exchange sucking. I had a hell of a time getting the LED panels to work with the controller because the documentation for everything was pretty much non-existent, but beyond that there isn't much to it. The...
