I don't know enough about TX Sector, but SoF has so many different ways to play and various scoring strategies that I think it's one of the best system 11.
There's a competiton ROM that locks the jackpot value to avoid uneven scoring... not that the jackpot is all that easy to collect anyway...
Just a quick update for those who inquired or might still be looking at this. It looks like things are proceeding and I've started to reach out to those that expressed interest.
The TZ is spoken for.
I have someone coming to see WH2O tomorrow... will know more soon on that. For those asking...
Hey Everyone,
Sorry, I haven't been posting much lately. Been busy :)
I apologise for the loaded thread title but, simply put, I am considering letting go of a fair number of machines.
I'm looking at a possible investment opportunity that may be coming up fast... and I also have way more...
That's probably just the residue of the seller's AWESOMNESS! :p
Good eye though! But I'm sure he's right and it's just wax. If you've been around enough pins it's very common to see wax that has crept into a few crevices. The sign of a well looked after game.
This was my old machine. It looks and plays great.
I loved working to get all 5 multi-balls stacked before starting them and ripping the big jackpots. Kind of like BSD.
Completing the wizard mode and seeing the game go dead was also pretty cool. The shaker is also very well implemented for the...
I've seen a couple of local Taxi in the last year and they were in the $2-$3K CAD range. When you convert to USD, you're right in the ballpark.
I just recently picked one up. Never owned the game before and had very little time on it. I'd have to agree with the list for the most part. It's a...
Hi everyone,
Some of you may know that I started to build my own Fathom a couple of years ago. I took a Bally Fireball II and converted/restored the cabinet, took all the necessary parts and bought a bunch more. I had been waiting for a friend to complete his own Fathom project because he had a...
I've played this machine. It' stupid how clean it looks. I have no doubt that this sat comfortably in someone's basement for a VERY long time.
Very nice!
I've also recently purchased a couple of games from the seller and he was great to deal with.
Good luck!
Old targets just get brittle. Once they start to go, the others aren't far behind. Invest in the new set. It's probably only about $3 per target anyway.
Classic Bally/Stern games of this era are very easy to work on and generally pretty satisfying.
If you're looking for the female connectors that go into the header pins on the boards, I think digi-key carries what you need... but you'll need to know what size and format is required.
I would avoid using the older (stock) IDC or displacement type and upgrade to trifuricon crimp terminals and...
Hi Everyone.
I have a brand new bench model blasting cabinet; never used.
Great for cleaning up small to medium sized metal parts or for using glass bead to clean up old boards wit corrosion.
I never did either one, so I'm offering it up here at $99 o.b.o
It's the same as this model, except...
I think a trip to Expo, VFW or the PHOF would put you in pretty good shape to try out just about any rare title out there.
Another cool question would be, what's the rarest machine you've ever actually owned?
I've been fortunate enough to acquire some unique and low production games since...
