MMR LE - Check Drawbridge Up SW Broken ERROR

I don't really know the mech at all, but I'm assuming that for something like this, there's a motor with two position switches-drawbridge open and closed. If the game came with a manual, I'm sure the details are in there (Looks like you can find the manual online here...

    Ghostbusters Code Update v1.13

I actually had to go check and see if those "bugs remaining" were from the readme or not-seems like a strange thing to post. Those aren't from Stern, but the other bug fixes sounds useful. I know there was the one mode when the insert colours didn't match, but I can't remember if there was...

Considering MMr as my first game - Am I nuts?

I know some of the TOPL hosts are a bit of a drive (very liberal definition of "Toronto"), but there are at least 2 MMs in rotation for league hosts, as well as most of the other games that you'd find on "top games" lists. There are definitely worse things to do on a Monday night :)

    Color dmds led

If they shipped the wrong thing, wouldn't they just send the different mounting bracket out for you? I thought the screens were all the same, but it was just a mounting hardware change.

Considering MMr as my first game - Am I nuts?

If you like the game, go for it, and if you're buying new you're at least starting from a point of what should be a pretty reliable machine. Worst case, you decide you don't like it, and have a reasonably easy time moving it out afterwards, and it should retain most of its value.

    Data east repair in georgetown

So if replacing the missing bulb shorted the GI, then that socket is probably a good place to start looking. Worst case, just leave that one socket empty and play it as-is :) When you say that the pop fires in test, is that for the coil test? If that's the case, check the pop bumper switch...

The OFFICIAL "Hey, I got a new machine" thread

I like the airbrush work on the coin door. Neat idea!

    Data east repair in georgetown

That sounds like multiple problems stacked on top of each other to me. Was it working before? First thing I'd do is make sure everything in the backbox is seated properly (ribbon/molex connectors). Then, figure out what F3 controls-is that a GI fuse, or something else? If it's a GI problem...

    Getting responses from Stern support

I had a couple of questions about my Ghostbusters, so I went to email stern about it, but haven't managed to get a reply yet. Last time I had an issue, Pat or Chas got back to me right away, but I tried submitting once through the website before Christmas, again through the website a couple...

How Cineplex lost me as a customer...

Strange that Stern couldn't just send the part out directly-I've gotten stuff from them direct in the past.

    Color dmd

Got a chance to see this in person the other night, and it's definitely impressive. VERY bright too. It does seem like the hires modes might be better for games that have lots of live action clips (SM etc), since it looked really muddy in the ACDC match sequence with the LED display, but then...

FS "Not Mine" Pinball Machines For Sale

Looks like that WOZ is the red version, which is usually more expensive.

Keith Elwin announces he will be working for Stern Pinball

That's pretty amazing-looking forward to seeing what happens!

    Control Panel for Multicade

If you've got the equipment, it's probably easiest to just build your own. The only thing I remember being a little tricky to find is the t-molding cutter, and that I was able to get online. Doing it yourself also means you can set things up like stick alignment and button pitch exactly the...

    Wizard of Oz

The first run machines had light board issues, but that seems to have been sorted out, so reliability shouldn't really be much of a concern. JJP machines are also very solidly built, so you should be good there. Check whether the machine you're buying has the newer light boards, or at least get...

    Stern Aerosmith pics are up

What do you think of the art on Metallica? Same artist, but I definitely get a little more of a Rat Fink feel from that game as opposed to Aerosmith. I like that they're trying something different, and are able to break with Photoshop style guides a little. Aerosmith went a little more...

    Stern Aerosmith pics are up

Looks interesting, but that upper PF seems incredibly basic. The lock mech seems like a really cool physical gimmick-from what I can tell the ball is supposed to kick up into the toybox from the other side of the PF? The lock release effect was neat in IJ4 though, so re-using it here makes...

    Help...My First Pin.. Royal Rumble

I think the difference between white and black is more the difference between new and old rubber. In theory, I think the white rubber is supposed to have more bounce, but realistically, what happens is that people will re-rubber a game in white, and notice that it's much more lively, which has...

FS "Not Mine" Pinball Machines For Sale

Yes, that's a decent price for that game these days. There's a lot packed into it-widebody with a shaker and a mini PF. If you like the theme, it's a lot of fun.

    Help...My First Pin.. Royal Rumble

If it's already playing well, then that's a good start. Are all the switches working? Generally, these games are pretty good at telling you when something isn't registering (credit dot, and a "check switch X" in the test report), but you could also just leave it as-is and never notice. I know...
