I bought a house!! (Building a game room)

The carpet I put in the basement is great-easy to clean, insulating, and it wasn't too expensive to do the whole basement. Glad that I did the floor before filling the basement-it'd be much harder to move everything afterwards. Hadn't realized that wall would be that easy to move-are there...

    Anti-Game Request (anti-cheat sheet) Thread

That video was actually what pushed me over the edge to buy the game in the first place.

    Star Trek The Next Generation

Nice writeup-the one thing I've never been able to figure out is the "light video mode" on the skill shot. On two of the three STTNGs (including my old one) that I've played, this lights the mode, but does not start it, but Adam's game is the only one I've ever played where shooting this...

    TV-50" Sony XBR1 1080p RPTV-$100 OBO

I bought this TV in Dec 2005 as one of the first 1080p sets available. Used it up until last year, when I wanted to upgrade to something bigger and thinner. This model suffered from a pretty nasty manufacturing defect though, and that's that the optical block started to fail after a while and...

    Price Check-Coke Machine

I've had this coke machine for a while now, and I honestly have no idea what it's worth. I saved it from getting dumpstered 12 years ago, and it should still work, but I really don't need it, and it's taking up space. It used to live in the Engineering Society office in Waterloo, where it sold...

    Zidware announces "ALICE IN WONDERLAND"!

So do we know what the final price will be? $1895 deposit, but nothing beyond that. Definitely sounds like an interesting theme/design, and he definitely has an aesthetic that he's going for. Probably not my favourite visualization of Alice in Wonderland (I think the Ralph Steadman version...

    The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug

If you stop thinking of it as an adaptation of the hobbit, and more of a LOTR prequel, then it makes it a lot better. Second movie was fun, and already seeing things that could end up in the pin.

Stern Rolling Stones LE vs Non-LE

The LE has the post save feature on it, so there's extra buttons on either side to control left, right, and center posts (like a UK game). They've had one out at starburst for ages if you want to go try one.

    Ice, Ice (Storm), Baby!

No power loss here, and no damage to anything but the trees out front. Lots of branches down though, so it's a hell of a mess. Glad that the ones out back are still OK though-those are closer to the house, and hauling downed branches around to the front would have been a lot more work. It's...

I bought a house!! (Building a game room)

Re: I bought a house!! No reason to open up the space if you don't have machines to fill it yet-you can always knock down walls later.

Check your batteries in your pins lately?

I change them out once a year with decent batteries, but keep the batteries I pull out for other stuff. They still have enough juice to run things like my wireless mouse, a game controller, or some other random toy.

The Pinball Diaries (what did you do today?)

I think I figured out a way to fit 2 more pins in the basement last night by moving the MAME over near the electrical panel. Then if I shift everything else a little bit, I have enough space to still get at the MAME, the breakers, and I can fit 2 more games in the space the MAME used to be...

    WOZ are in...

So now that these have been out for a while, what's the opinion on gameplay? How is the game evolving? Anyone regretting buying one?

    SOLD XM LE - Wolverine

Re: FT: XM LE - Wolverine Sentinels has all shots lit, so it's the easiest to finish, and Juggernaut also lights everything but Xavier. Sabertooth switches sides, but it's 3 shots at a time, so that's OK. Shadow king is just the one random shot though, so it's a lot more of a gamble-same as...

    SOLD XM LE - Wolverine

Re: FT: XM LE - Wolverine Even the bad beast and storm voices have grown on me over time-they're not *that* bad... Only thing that I've found that could be called an "exploit" in X-Men is using Brotherhood/Hellfire for an easy villain relight, but that's not even that simple. First you have...

The Hobbit Full Playfield Posted by JJP

Yeah, I got the same email maybe 20 mins after posting :) Artwork looks good, but is that final? I remember they made a big deal about the WOZ art having a progression from one side to the other, sort of following the movie's arc This artwork sort of does that starting from the back left, but...

    SOLD LOTR $5000 [TRADED]

Re: FS: LOTR----(Keeping) Probably speaks more to the fact that at least a few of us just got a LOTR recently. I probably would have gotten in touch if I hadn't bought mine a few months back.

Just saw the second movie-lots that could be used in the pin. Wonder if they're able to release more now, like the Smaug toy?

Boulder Arcade Factory - Signs and Key Holders

Actually, worse than that is lose/hide the keys :) One of the reasons I thought about getting everything keyed alike, but instead I"ll just keep some spares stashed elsewhere. Besides, I've had problems on some machines with keys getting bumped into the lock and the coin door opening mid...
