Ended up spending some time there on thursday afternoon, and it was definitely worth the trip. I was in vegas for work though, and made the mistake of going with someone else I was traveling with, who wasn't really a pinhead. It means that we only spent a couple of hours there vs me alone...
So I'm in Vegas this week, and might have some free time Thursday afternoon. Is it worth a trip out to the main PHOF? Mapped it out, and it looks like you can walk there from the strip, since it's only a couple of miles.
Not sure if you've seen the decals that Luch installed on his TSPP, but the pinside thread is here:http://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/tspp-simpsons-pinball-party-custom-side-board-decals/page/4
I'm ordering a set for myself, so if anyone else wants in, let me know before Tuesday and we can...
I have things at the defaults (1 of each), and it's hectic enough. I like the idea of hero stacking in theory, but as-is it's a little too easy to start. Villain stacking would also be pretty easy depending on how progression to relight works. For mode stacking, I like how something like TZ...
Played a bunch of X-men, and spent some time troubleshooting the Nightcrawler popups. They'll very often pop up, and then drop immediately during gameplay, especially during Rogue. In trying to get them to stay up though, I got the left one to the point where the latch wouldn't drop it at the...
Everything can be fixed, it just depends on how much you're willing to try to do. Really just depends on the price. I'm also pretty sure that not all Rollergames were diamondplated, so that's a good thing to have.
Sounds like Dark Phoenix is the way to go now, and a really epic mode. Of course, I may never see it-I've had JM for three years now, and have yet to make it to power down :)
True, but what about how to actually get him to do damage while you're in the mode? Is that switch based, or combo based then?
I was trying to line up Deadpool + shadow king + Magneto last night, but kept missing shots. Wanted to see if DP added damage to magneto MB as well.
Played around with this last night, and still lots more to discover. Still not sure on the exact rules for what triggers deadpool to assist during a mode, but it makes some of the villains much easier to finish. I managed to rip through brotherhood multiball with deadpool running pretty...
Nope, these are standard balls from pinball life, new when I got the machine last fall. Probably just a fluke thing, although it'd suck to have that happen in competition play. Just a good idea to have keys handy for that game to be able to dislodge balls in a case like this.
Wow, that sounds like a pretty major revision. I'll install it tonight and see what it looks like, but with deadpool it sounds like finishing the villains might be more attainable? Wonder if they made those simpler to light?
Changing the Gambit hurry up makes a LOT more sense there-I always...
I was playing LOTR yesterday, and I ran into a problem with the ring magnet during DTR. The magnet would grab the first ball and hold it, but then the second ball, rather than hitting the first ball through would get stuck to the first one. It basically pushed the first ball through enough so...
There's a Humble Sid Meier bundle up at https://www.humblebundle.com/ that I just picked up, and it's a great deal if you want to pick up some turn based strategy games. Anyway, I already had the base Civ 5 on Steam, so I have an extra key if anyone wants it. PM me and I'll send it over. No...
Nice-I'd be worried about the decal on the PF lifting though-would you want to CC over it? Definitely an improvement over the original though. Stern should license the package :)
